Khet Bachaao Abhiyaan – Rabi 2026
Khet Bachaao Abhiyaan – Rabi 2026 is a nationwide campaign running from 22 October to 30 November 2026. It aims to reach about 50 lakh farmers across 700 districts and 50,000 villages. It promotes soil health, balanced fertiliser use, natural farming, crop diversification and climate-resilient agriculture.

Fewer students take education loans, but average borrowing nearly triples
RBI data on bank credit show education loan accounts fell 15.2% between June 2016 and June 2026. Over the same period, the average loan per account rose 178%, from ₹2.6 lakh to ₹7.25 lakh. Fewer students are borrowing much larger sums, as costs rise and small loans shrink.
