Show answer
Answer: D. None
I. Lake Tanganyika – The equator does NOT pass through Lake Tanganyika. It is located in East Africa (Tanzania, DRC, Burundi, Zambia) and occupies the southern end of the Western Rift Valley. It lies mostly south of the equator (approximately 3°S to 8°S).
II. Lake Tonlé Sap – Lake Tonlé Sap is a natural floodplain reservoir in central Cambodia (approximately 12°N to 13°N), well north of the equator. The equator does NOT pass through it.
III. Patos Lagoon – Patos Lagoon is located in the southern Brazil state of Rio Grande do Sul (approximately 31°S), far south of the equator. The equator does NOT pass through it.
The equator passes through none of the listed water bodies → Option (d).
