Statement by statement
Statement 1 – INCORRECT: Participation in Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is voluntary including for citizens. Participation of a healthcare facility or an institution is also voluntary and shall be taken by the respective management (government or private management). Hence it is not mandatory for hospitals.
Statement 2 – INCORRECT: The mission aims to provide digital health IDs for citizens and create interoperability within the digital health ecosystem. It does not mandate that every citizen must be part of it — participation is voluntary.
Statement 3 – CORRECT: The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is creating a seamless online platform through the provision of a wide-range of data, information and infrastructure services, duly leveraging open, interoperable, standards-based digital systems while ensuring security, confidentiality and privacy of health-related personal information. Under ABDM, citizens will be able to create their ABHA numbers enabling national portability of health records.
